Mãe reivindica reconhecimento de seu trabalho

Os alunos do ensino médio discutiram, nas aulas de inglês, sobre um acontecimento recente em que uma mãe reivindicou reconhecimento de seu trabalho, aproveitando para treinar o vocabulário, a leitura, a escrita e estudar um pouco mais sobre as preposições. Confira:

When Michelle Tribout went on strike, she was only hoping to get some respect from her children. Instead, she became an international media star. It all began when a newspaper reporter walked by the Tribout house and saw Mrs. Tribout in a tree house. She was telling her husband that she wasn`t coming down or cooking or cleaning until the kids started pitching in and showing some gratitude. 

After a while the kids wrote an agreement with the following rules of behavior:

Quando Michelle Tribout ficou de greve, ela só estava querendo um pouco de respeito por parte de seus filhos. Em vez disso, ela se tornou uma estrela. Tudo começou quando um repórter estava passando e viu Michelle em uma casa de árvore. Ela estava dizendo ao marido que não ia descer ou cozinhar ou limpar até que seus filhos começassem a fazer alguma coisa e mostrassem reconhecimento.

Os filhos escreveram esse acordo de comportamento abaixo:

I - Pitch in whenever you see something needs to be done = Faça sempre quando você vir algo que precisa ser feito

II - Act your age not like you are five = Aja de acordo com sua idade, não como se tivesse 5 anos

III - Don't smart off = Não banque o espertinho

IV - Come when you are called = Venha quando for chamado

V - We are the kids, you are the parents = Nós somos os filhos, vocês são os pais

VI - Give and take on equal basis = Dê e tire em quantidades iguais

VII - Ask before you do something = Pergunte antes de fazer algo

VIII - Do not hit or hurt anybody = Não bata ou machuque ninguém
